61! So many organisations ticked the participation box in their multi-annual application for the Arts Decree in Flanders. An arts field without public participation is gradually becoming unthinkable. Time for a state of affairs. Who does what, and who does how? In what circumstances? How do we look at the future of participation in the arts?

The arts as the ultimate connector. Between people, disciplines and sectors. This symposium shows a multitude of approaches and visions. It connects not only arts organisations that work (or want to work) on participation, but also artists, educators, public administrations and other organisations such as those within the welfare or youth work sector. We can learn from each other.
